How many moms are guilty of sleeping with there new born? I try so hard to put him down in his own bed but he cries so I sleep with him.. What can I do to make him sleep on his own? No matter how much I love his snuggles I don’t want him to get used to sleeping with me.

Do you breastfeed? I breastfed and co slept with my daughter till she was 7 months. Once I stopped breastfeeding was when I put her in her own crib in her own room and the transition went really well. She would still wake up once or twice for a bottle then would go right back to sleep.

Yeah I do. So sleeping with him is easy for both of us because I’m not getting out of bed to feed him and neither is he. But I keep getting told I’m going to regret sleeping with him because as he gets older he will get used to it and won’t sleep on his own. I know every baby is different but I just feel like he’s still super young and that I can transition him to sleeping in his own when he’s alittle older

you need to do what works best for you and him. I tried putting my son in his own crib when he was around 2 months and it was just a constant battle with him going to sleep. I gave in and let him sleep in my bed till he was 6 months then transitioned him back to his crib which was WAY easier. Which is why with my daughter I never tried till she was past 6 months. you need to remember he’s only a newborn, all he has ever known is you and being with you. He thinks you and him are a whole person and he’s lost without you. It’s much easier when they are a little bit older.

I co slept with ds 3 and plan to co sleep with this baby. I dont feel guilty about it.
I guess you're just going to have to let him cry, maybe try swaddling or one of those sleep sacks.

It’s not that I feel guilty about it. I just don’t want the transition from my bed to his own crib to be hectic and letting him cry is super hard for me I give in I can’t sit there and watch him or listen to him cry breaks my heart lol

My son and I nap together in the bed during the day and he sleeps in a pack and play next to our bed at night 🤷 do what works best for you. Cosleep or don't. They are young for only so long. Enjoy the snuggles and the together time.

I do the opposite during the day I put him down and then at night we sleep together and you are definitely right about that he’s already going to be a month!! Time goes by fast so I should enjoy it while I can.. I guess I’m just over thinking it lol Thank you ♥️

I co slept with both of my other daughters and breastfed transitioning from my bed to their bed was pretty easy but I know it's not easy for everybody. I just know whenever I was awake for like their naps I will make sure they slept by themselves so they were was still use to sleeping by themselves. But swaddling should help that or have something that smells like you or the blanket that you swaddle him in they also do have onesies or sleepers that are also swaddle baby.

I’m guilty it’s hard not to sleep with my little cause she cries and I can’t let her cry,so I co-sleep but I use a co-sleeper and sometimes she doesn’t even like that so I end up with her in my chest and I feel like a bad mom cause I know it’s bad plzz don’t judge me 😢

We co-sleep too. My daughter had really bad acid reflux and she was colic until she was 4 months old and she would only sleep laying on my chest. I also read these horror stories and was terrified. I’d wake up multiple times in the middle of the night to make sure she was okay. We’ve tried transitioning her into her crib and pack n play but it’s so difficult. She cries and screams and I just feel so bad, I give in. My daughter sleeps 10-12 hours a night w/ co-sleeping. I really enjoy sleeping with her but I know it’s going to be really hard to transition her if we have another baby.
