Laying my 2 year old down for bed... she was crying because she's well 2 and didn't want to go to sleep even though it is almost midnight... so I laid down next to her gave her a big hug and said Ava listen to mommy, once you go night night, and then you wake up in the morning we can play, but you have to go night night in your big girl bed first before we can do that. She stopped crying and looked up at me gave me a big hug and kiss and said alright night momma, then proceeded to snuggle up with her babydoll. It is times like these that melts my heart... times where I truly look at my child and realize she doesn't understand why she has to sleep right now... so by me laying next to her and explaining it to her it calmed her down because she knows once she wakes up in the morning momma will be ready to play. Sometimes I forget she is little and trying to make sense of the world. It is nice to take a step back and see how much she has grown, and see how much she is learning. ❤❤
