He went on his first road trip at 7 weeks - 4.5 hour trip turned into over 9 hours, but we had also gotten rear-ended on the trip and spent a few hours at the hospital. Just make sure to stop often to take the baby out, every half hour I think is recommended. (A woman I met at the airport once took her 3 week old to California, and we're in NJ! They were going to visit her father, who was ill and they didn't think he'd have much longer, and she wanted him to met his grandbaby.)

My sister made a 6 hour trip by herself with a 2.5 year old and 3week old by herself her husband was on deployment and she was fine just stop when needed baby mostly will still sleep so I think it’s more of when your comfortable

We went on a 5 hour road trip when our daughter was 6 weeks old. She slept almost the whole time. They’re usually pretty sleepy when they’re newborns and should be just fine. 2 hours isn’t bad. Just make sure you feed the baby right before you leave to make it easier on yourself.

Babies sleep a lot in the first couple of weeks and months so you can take her any time i would say. I went on the 9 hr trip (Oregon to Sacramento CA) with 3 month old and he slept through the trip. I only stopped once to give him the bottle.

2 hrs drive is nothing compared. You’ll be fine. And the baby.

Noah’s first road trip was from Roseville to Monterey bay. It ended up taking 6 hours because that was when the roads were closed cause of the mud slides and flooding. He turned 2 months the next day and he did AMAZING he slept the whole time the car was moving(he loved that though if the car stopped at a stop light he’d scream)
