So I have a friend that invited me to her son's 1st birthday party a few months ago and I was told the theme was Coltmas aka Christmas themed (her son was born Dec 26th but she's having it the 1st) with lots of red and black plaid stuff. When we talked I mentioned my son's theme this year was O-Fish-ally Two with a fishing theme because he loves fish and that it was going to be on the 8th of December his birthday is the 6th. I sent out my son's invites via facebook event two months ago and she quickly said she was going. A week ago she asked if I could work his party and take pictures kind of bummed I have to work it now but any extra money for Christmas is worth it. I now got her son's gift the other day and put it in a Christmas bag. I don't know why I felt the need to double check on the theme but I texted her asking if it was still going to be Coltmas themed and she responded with No its fishing themed now and it was a last minute change. Maybe its the hormones but I was kind of hurt about it. 1) she knew that was the theme we were doing for our son that next weekend. 2) I would have felt super dumb showing up with his present in a Christmas bag and not being told that the theme was changed. Am I wrong for being a littke upset by this? I'm still going to go with a smile on my face but still...
