Literally been trying to get health insurnace for months. Since July actually. Went in today to give them my proof of pregnancy and she said medical was super behind and it could take months for them to get me insurance. 😡 thankfully there's a clinic that gives free ultrasounds here I can go to to at least make sure things seem fine.

Similar thing happened to me and then by the time I got insurance and made an appointment the doctor yelled at me asking y it was my first time there if I was eighteen weeks already

That’s so frustrating. I wasn’t seen basically my whole second trimester with my daughter due to switching into state insurance. Pregnancy is not considered a priority. I thought that was pretty sad.

Its downright stupid if you ask me. I even asked if the fact I was pregnant would speed things along. She just said no. Like what if something happens? We don't have hundreds of dollars to spend on medical bills. Ugh. Its just not right.

Technically being pregnant they should have to move it along. Ask for pregnancy medical for now and then after it gets processed they can change it.

Where did you go to? WIC or public aid? You can apply online for state Medicaid.

I've applied online, went into the department of family services. WIC is in the same place. I went into the office and gave them all the required paperwork.

@athenia.brinkley3793, once you apply online I believe you will have a case number. If not you will at least be able to log in and check the status.

You can only apply once every 30 days. I've got my case number, I've talked to the people in the actual office working my case.
