You will need to sleep train him. Look up some methods, pick one, and stick with it. If he doesn’t already have a comfort item or lovey then get him one. Keep the same routine at bedtime and nap time everyday so he knows what sequence of events signals sleep. Do it sooner than later because it’ll be harder when he’s older.

And for breastfeeding are trying to quit? It’s best to do a gradual weaning process where you cut out one feeding at a time. 11-13 months is a really tough age so it’d be best if you waited a little, or start now but with the ultimate goal to be weaned in 2-3 months. I let my daughter self wean and drop feedings one at a time and she was fully weaned by 2.5 years old

No advice for getting him to sleep on his own. But for stopping breastfeeding a lot of women have said putting band aids on your nipples and saying the Milkies were gone.

I just put both of my kids in their crib in their own room at 6 weeks old (before they know any different). It worked really well for both of them and they began sleeping through the night at that time too. They get 15 minutes of bedtime music which soothes them to sleep and they also have sound machines and a nightlight. Starting my son young like that worked amazing because he’s been sleeping through the night in his own bedroom ever since. I can already tell it’s working amazing for my 10 week old as well. So my advice is, the sooner the better. Best of luck!
