Hey moms! Haven’t been posting much but I promise I’m still here. Need some advice from other mommas out there having this problem... my 10 month old has been “hitting” me since he was about 7-8 months and also biting. I know he’s young and it will take time but as of now when he slaps me I just grab his hands and say no no and same with biting I just tell him no and kind of lift him off of me. Please moms ANY advice will help. I am literally bruising all over from my munchkins bites. I also don’t want him slapping anyone who holds him.

What worked for my son was focusing on the victim first before punishing him. Coddling the victim first (hugging them, asking if there were okay) while he watched made him feel remorse and know he hurt someone. Now that he’s 3 he is super remorseful and very empathetic. It worked so well for him.

My cousins three year old STILL does this. They let it go on for far too long. So I’m here to scope out the remedy ! 😅🙈👀 I’m sorry he bites you. Is it when he’s mad or overwhelmed ? My son used to bite when he got over excited. He’s got no teeth tho, so 🤷🏻‍♀️
