Unsure if I want to attempt breastfeeding again or just formula from the start. I tried with both boys but didnt make enough and had to supplement. It was hard both times feeling like my body failed after creating such beautiful lives. What's worse? Feeling like a failure or feeling selfish for not trying. Anyone else unsure how they want/wanted to feed their baby?
When I delivered my son they told me to hand express my milk until it came in every few hours they said it’s makes it come on faster and 150% more. I fed him and hand expressed and syringe fed him the little bit I expressed. I hope that helps some.
My besty had a hard time with her first and then her second was formula and now she will have her 3rd in feb and also formula feed.... dont stress and no one should bash if you feel like formula feeding then change your mind and pump or latch as long as baby is healthy and happy your going to do amazing I hurt myself mentally by not being able to feed my daughter past 6months my son was for a year but my WIC office help me cope and gave me the number to delta drugs. They supply your formula through your babies insurance and send to your door for the whole month you need for the 1st year.... wic couldn't help me but deltadrugs did
I was the same with my last. My milk barely came in so I had to supplement with formula after I few days. I tried EVERYTHING to get my milk going for many many months but never got more than half of ounce or 1 oz. Don't stress it. As much as ppl stress to breast feed, if you can't or not for you, don't do it. Don't feel bad. Some ppl cant as much as they try, some can. Fed is best....rather it's breast or formula. I know many pure formula fed babies that are just as healthy as boobie babies.
