If your absolutely have no other choice than to change the litter, wear gloves and a mask like you see at doctors offices. Google the risks. They say that cat litter is one of the worst things for a pregnant woman to handle. Best wishes!

Just use a mask, you'll be fine.

Use a mask and an extra long scooper when cleaning the litter. For easy take out, put a trash bag around the whole box before you dump the litter in, that way when you take it out all you have to do is pull up the bag end for minimal contact.

If you change if often and wear gloves and what not the chances of getting toxoplasmosis is very low. Especially if you have an indoor cat.

Its a bit more expensive but Everytime I had to change it I put it straight into a garbage bag and just put in fresh litter

My man and kids did my litter box but you can put on gloves. Maybe wear a mask. Someone on my pregnancy app got toxoplasmosis but she didn't even own a cat

As long as it’s a well ventilated room, and possibly even a mask then you’re good. Just do it quickly. Definitely do not rehome your smallest family member.

Self cleaning litter box and have someone else change the litter pan once a month

I love how some people are soooo nonchalant. NO, you should NOT do it yourself... even have a family member maybe come and do it? If you absolutely have nobody else to do it, definitely use a mask, a long scooper, and if move the litter box next to an open window while you change it.
