Anyone on here have a toddler in speech therapy on Medicaid...I have questions... does it help you child with speech delay..is it hard on the child...do you have to pay anything out of pocket... are u reimbursed.. do you get a check or what all does this entail. I’m so loss and I’m emotional at he fact that the doctor suggested therapy in the first place

Do you pay anything? Not sure, its a free service here though early intervention
If it is a free service its likely only until 3yrs so START ASAP

Ok I don’t have Medicaid but my son is 2 yrs 8 months and has been in speech for about 3 months. They help them learn thru play.. my son started with barely 20 words and he’s up to 86 words and 40 signs. I work a lot with him at home and we are learning sign language together. In my opinion it’s 100% worth it and wish I started at 18 months when it was brought up the first time.
