I am at such a loss when it comes to potty training my daughter. I have been trying to potty train her for a year I have tried prized and sticker charts and the 15 minute pointy time and nothing works. I just don’t know what to do anymore. She turned 3 in September so she should have been potty trained already
@mhbb3 thanks for the insight, but I think I have a handle on it. Every kid operates differently pull ups might not have worked for you but it could work for the next person. They are called training pants for a reason. Thats awesome you were able to get your kid trained. My first was easy it took 2 days of being consistent. My son on the other hand is different and does things on his own time and pushing him is only delaying the process...
Its an on going battle for me as well i have been doing with my son since july he wont poop in the potty. Im giving him a break right now and then we will start again. Maybe take a couple days where you dont ask her to use the potty just let her go in the pull up and go on her own time and then start back up again. Im currently trying this he tells me sometimes when its time to pee.
We started around 2 and a half. Every 1 to 2 hrs wed take him to.the potty and put him on it. I also constantly asked him if he had to potty.
For a few weeks we kept him in pull ups. That was a mistake. its confusing. We took diapers and pull ups away totally and put him in real undewear.
We just kept it up and everytime hed go in the potty wed clap and praise him and jump around.
Stayed consistent. If he had an accident we didn't get upset just cleaned it up and kept going forward.
He's 3 and once we stopped with the pullups he was fully trained within a month. He hasn't had an accident in a long time now!
