My little guy turned 4 weeks yesterday and for the past 2 days he will only sleep if being held. Within 5 minutes of being put down he wakes back up. What’s weird is he’s had no problem sleeping leading up to this, and was even getting 4 hour stretches last week in his crib. Anyone else go through this or have any advice?

It's normal. They love to be cuddled and being held gives them comfort and security. I have found that a warm blanket around my baby when she falls asleep in my arms helps me transition her. And I have always let her sleep on her back, side to start and if she turns over I just keep watch to make sure she is ok. Safe sleeping space is very important so that when they turn on their tummy it's ok. Your baby is going to become more difficult to out to sleep for long stretches in the day because as she grows so does her alertness. I use a baby carrier to hold my baby on days when she won't sleep and wants held. It keep Sher quiet, safe, and she sleeps, builds our bond and gives her security whole giving me peace of mind. It also gives me free hands to get my chores done. Hope this helps.

Do you swaddle him? Swaddling was the only way I could put my son down when he was that little.
