First doctor appointment to comfirm pregnancy is tomorrow afternoon. Praying that the 2 tests I took were true positives. What should I expect? I know they will ask me questions, have me do an urine and blood test.

They do a urine test and if it’s positive they will do an ultrasound to see how far along you are. @amanda7,

@amanda7, No they won’t do a blood test. Only time they do one is when you request it and insurance doesn’t always cover a blood test but they typically never do a blood test. I’ve never had one at all with any of my pregnancies.

@inked_mommy92 Okay thanks. One of my fears are needles but I know that this baby is worth it for a poke now and then.

You will have to get blood drawn and a shot later on in your pregnancy. You’ll have blood drawn around 18-19 weeks I do believe and then again around 28 weeks when you take your glucose test and then around 30+ weeks I can’t remember exactly you will receive your Tdap Vaccination(Whooping cough) and a flu shot.
