Hey moms so I'm a Christian ok yes I believe in the word of Fod and what his son did for us. But my question is I dont go to church I've been told that Christian dont have to go to church to believe in God as long as you know what he did for your sins and why he did it your good and that a church is there just to be a place and theres nothing wrong I pray to Jesus almost every night but not at all before my meals and I've gotten told to read your bible but I dont like reading it never have and I've gotten looks and stares about it. I've gotten told well do a bible study like read certain scriptures will I could do that but dont know where to start. So my question is sorry to blab alot but how many of yall Christian moms even go to church or dont what do yall do.
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:17
Aw. Thank you. @jellybeans_mumm Yes, I can share my routine with you. Every morning when I wake up, I have my own little "prayer closet" I go in & just talk with God about certain things going on in my life, I pray for specific needs and go into detail about what's going on, talk to God as if he's your best friend. After a while of doing this I go into intercessory prayer, in which I intercede on behalf of these situations and needs, calling & crying out to Jesus to help. Then after the praying, I start praising as if all my prayers have already been answered. I get lost in the praise/dance and this is where I truly get my victory. Then when I come out of my prayer closet, I'm completely renewed in my mind and spirit. I then go into bible study, I read whatever may be on my heart at that moment in time. You can have your own church service every morning if you want but I do feel the need to actually go to church as much as possible. It's important to fellowship with those of like faith, for encouragement & just to be around like minded individuals. They lift me up and pray for me when I need it or even when I dont. My church family have helped me through a lot these past two years. As believers, church attendance is of high importance. It is a place we can all come together to worship, be encouraged, and learn from God's words for spiritual growth, hearing the man of God in our life is very critical in my opinion! I can give you some verses about church and fellowshipping too, And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Hebrews 10:24-25
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
Ephesians 4:11-16
Having your own relationship with god the way you want is up to you, but just because you pray does not mean that you shouldn’t read your bible or go to church, the Bible says you need to renew your mind daily by hearing the word of god, people call themselves Christians but don’t know the first meaning of being a christian, Christianity is not a religion it’s about the relationship you have with god, if you don’t go to church or read your bible how do you have your one on ones with him? It’s always good to do one or the other. .. prayer, reading your bible daily.. allowing him to enter into your life , if I can’t make it to church I watch it online, @lifewithlynnieandwill88, can help you on this ... she can tell you her routine ❤️
You see how many people
Have told you that NOT reading your Bible is ok but it’s NOT. If you don’t read it how can you have a relationship with him? The Bible is how he speaks to you, how he conforms you, how he loves you. Nothing related to the Bible is mandatory that is why you have free will. He is not forcing you to love him. You don’t know who he is that is why you and those woman doubt. It sound like you need a break from him. Just like you would with any other relationship that is not working for you. Take a break you are already doing it maybe GOD is not for you and it’s ok.
I don’t go to church a lot, no one has to go to church all the time to be considered a Christian because we are our own church God doesn’t get upset with you if you aren’t a regular church goer because we are the church ourselves so it’s okay if you don’t go to church all the time it’s not a big deal, also having a religion isn’t a big deal either as long as you believe and trust the Bible God doesn’t like religion because it’s separated us instead of bringing us together it’s caused wars instead of bringing us together so God doesn’t like religion he didn’t ask us to follow a religion or a church he asked us to follow him so don’t worry about having a religion or a church to call your own because God wants you to focus on your relationship with him and having the opinions of church goers and people with a religion can hinder your relationship with him.
@amelliaholmes1457, My father was a Mormon but switched to Baptist because of his new wife but me personally I don’t follow either one of these religions I follow the Pentecostal religion because before I was non-denominational like my mom and step dad are but during that time of being non-denominational I had time to strengthen my own relationship with God and I finally chose a religion that best fit my own personal beliefs (All my beliefs are based off of the King James Version of the Bible) and it is hard to keep a strong relationship with someone who has a different religion then you because some of your beliefs may clash but in my opinion no marriage is perfect to begin with and you can work through differences of opinion just the same as you can work through differences of beliefs I mean you don’t have to change your opinion or beliefs to be with the person you love.
@amberdaugherty right and I've tried to tell that to my mom but she didnt want here it anymore uh bless she was right and it's like really religion shouldn't matter in a relationship as long as there a Christian and believe in God something like that
@amelliaholmes1457, Me and my husband believe the same but I know a few of my family members who have different beliefs and they are very happy together and raise their kids to belief in God and then later their kids choose on their own what beliefs or what religion they choose to go into but I’m sure they do have their disagreements and problems at times but over all it’s not a huge deal unless you let it come between you.

I don’t personally follow Christianity, but my family always has and they have always said as long as you have your own personal relationship with God then that’s all that matters. You don’t have to study the Bible everyday and you don’t have to go to church all the time. All He cares about is that you have a good relationship with him.
Right an I agree with that I do I just don't want to go to church 24 7 because it's not my thing but with some people saying oh well you will go to hell if you don't start going to church.
I focus more on my personal relationship with Christ. When I am in step with God I pray and read and worship daily. This is the only way to achieve renewal of your mind.
Fellowship with other Christians is important. Iron sharpens iron. But you don't HAVE to go to church.
If you feel like it's something you really want ask the lord to speak to your heart abd lead to a church that truly follows Christ.
Oh ok cool because my mom told me that since your a Christian and you believe in the word of christ you don't have to go to church it's just a building that people go to. Because its sooo hard to find the right church with someone being a boycott or being judged or someone not s totally teaching you the way of christ. I've had all three of those
@amelliaholmes1457
You DO need daily fellowship through prayer, reading his word and meditating on His word. That is the only to stay in step with His will and continue renewing your mind.
People who are not Christian often don't believe that but it's true.
I do go to church. Yes, you can read your bible and pray by yourself, and those things are good and encouraged. However, meeting regularly with others that have the same beliefs as you is so helpful, lots of support, and good for you to give back as you grow in your faith too.
We go weekly, attend a bible study small group, and help teach Sunday school. Having the community around you to help you celebrate the good times and help support you in the bad times is priceless.
@amelliaholmes1457, u can always watch my church service live
