Babies don’t have a set in stone routine for the first year they have so many developmental changes that disrupt their sleep patterns ect so just because one baby sleeps through it doesn’t mean your baby will.... ours are the simular age and I can tell you now that my boy will not sleep through from 8 I’m up with him still at 11pm hel have a stretch of few hours then feeds again in the night n when he’s going through a leap he’s very fussy and wants lots of cuddles, feed if they want milk and comfort them if they want comforting they arnt babies forever they are still newborn they won’t become too clingy at all they want to feel safe.

@lauren_h, no I wouldn’t say so defo not until around 3/4 months old then you’ll notice more of predictable sleep and feeding habits hun their first year they want lots of security cuddles n stuff it doesn’t last long hun xx

I started bedtime routine from the beginning with both. My first slept through from 2 weeks and this one was 3/4 weeks when she slept through. Consistency and persistence is the key. I change her bum, feed her and cuddle her for 10 mins between half 8 and 9 and just lay her in cot bed awake or half awake and she falls asleep by herself within 5/10 minutes and sleeps from 9 til 7 or 8am. At first they cry so leave her for a minute or two then go back and stroke her head or hand and shh her but dont take her out. When she settles leave the room again and keep doing that until she falls asleep by herself. But if she gets really upset then take her out of course and settle her and then put her back down and do the same thing. Could it be that she wants more milk before going to bed? X

I started a bedtime routine with Max at about 7weeks. At about 8 I'd take him upstairs. Have cuddles, listen to some soothing music for a while then lay him in his crib. I'd let him settle then leave. If he got upset I just kept coming back. Stroked his face, said goodnight & left. Sometimes I stayed on our bed for a while then if he calmed down I would leave. Took about an hour the first night then 40mins 2nd. By end of the week he was falling asleep within 15/20mins by himself. If he woke up I went in and did the same. I didn't get him out of his crib unless he was really upset. Then I'd have a cuddle lay him back down. It takes a long time & consistency but if you want a routine you just have to stick to it. Good luck 😊

Put something next to her with your scent on it. I used to wear my little boys blanket and put it near him when he slept. I had exactly the same thing x

We also had a little cow that plays lullabies and water sounds so we would play that when he was sleepy and he would fall asleep and if he would wake up we would just play that again. There’s a few videos on YouTube that help with sleeping. Get her used to the sound so she associate that with sleep and should help you to relax and sleep a bit better x
