I try not to fuss too much at my daughter. When she gets to screaming and hollering I say in a very calm, yet stern voice “Isabella. Breathe.” And she calms down 9/10 times the first time I say it. I go to school for mental health counseling, and mindful breathing techniques seem to work so I try to implement that with her so she’s not so quick to anger when she gets older. We do breathing techniques and she thinks it’s so fun because she’s 2, so she really doesn’t get that mommy is trying to calm her spirit.
Who’d think just telling a kid to breathe could help calm them down?! Hopefully this helps someone ☺️

Well it's official I'm doing this alone. I'm so upset I can't even breathe. Trying to calm down
I’ve posted about my defiant toddler many times before but I’m really at a loss now. She deliberately disobeys. Like, she knows what “no” means and if she’s doing something she knows she’s not supposed to I can ask “do you want to go in timeout?” And she’ll answer “no” and SOMETIMES stop.. I can’t take her anywhere cause she refuses to listen. She runs wild, screams, throws tantrums etc. At home she’s just as bad and absolutely nothing I do or say helps. Timeout doesn’t work, hand poppings don’t...
So idk if I’m an asshole for thinking this but a girl I used to go to school with is having her 3rd kid and she’s planning a baby shower and she had one with her other two. I feel like a baby shower is something you do with ur first pregnancy. I live far from my family so I didn’t have one but i did have a baby registry and I’m not even doing that with this pregnancy. Idk I just feel like 3 baby showers is a lot! Especially when she gets things handed to her. Idk maybe I’m an ass for thinking that

Yay for migraines I have them almost everyday, sometimes with nose bleeds sometimes not. Today my nose bleed was so bad it was pouring out of my nose and I couldn’t breathe and was choking on the blood going down my throat. This is after it calmed down.🙃
