Hello everyone My name is Delanna im a new mom, i had my son about a week ago, its all new to me, im from Vernal Utah, im here to meet new moms and hope if i have any questions some of you guys would help me, my first question i have is how to get your baby to latch on after bottle feeding, he was having a hard time when he was born they had me bottle feed cause his blood sugar was dropping cause he wasnt latch on so if you guys have any tips i would love to hear them thank you #myfirstpost

We encountered the same problem when my son was a newborn. We used a supplemental nursing system while still at the hospital, and I started pumping before discharge. We also had to use a nipple shield to help with latching. We had latch issues throughout our time our nursing.

@delannabrock18, my son did best in the football hold (body tucked to my side, feet towards my back and face to my front). I had a C-section, so this was the hold that was most comfortable for me in the beginning, and then my son didn’t like the other positions after that.
