Did My Mom Do Wrong Cleaning My Son's Foreskin?
So mommies idk if my mom did wrong. She cleaned my son and he pulled his foreskin to clean it. My dad said because not doing so when his cousin was small or baby idk. His cousin got an infection. I'm just idk worried she did that.

NOooo. Never pull it back!!! It cleans itself thru urination and should never be pulled until the child does it himself when ready. You can risk tears and infection by pulling it back

Big no no . Pulling it back increases risk for infection and it's fused to the head of the penis so it can cause more problems from forced retraction. It will retract on its own by puberty, and the only one to retract should be the kid himself to clean. When time comes.

Apparently when they’re “young” you’re not supposed to pull it back but when they’re older you are? It’s confusing.
“As your child gets older, the foreskin of his uncircumcised penis will begin to separate from the tip of the penis. This allows the foreskin to be retracted. As soon as the foreskin can be retracted, it's important to clean beneath it regularly. Teach him to:
-Gently pull back the foreskin
-Clean beneath the foreskin with mild soap and water
-Rinse and dry beneath the foreskin thoroughly
-Pull the foreskin back over the head of the penis
Encourage your child to follow the same procedure through adulthood as part of his daily bathing routine.”
That is the main reason we wanted to circumcise. Cleanliness and risk of infection.
