Recommended is around 6 weeks but depends on the person I think. I was up and about doing things as normal within 3 weeks. As long as you rest lots and take care of your incision so it doesn’t get infected. X
Took me 2 weeks. Took the painkillers they gave me. I was alright. Considering I was doing everything on my own. Think u had no choice but to recover quick. But yeah like Stefi you do need plenty of rest x
It's recommended to take it easy for the first 6 weeks, i.e. not to drive, have sex and such. Although they will also tell you it takes months to completely heal so they do advise not to TTC in the first 18 months xx
Everybody is different, they say 6 weeks, but I've had 2 and it's been far longer than 6 weeks, although both my sections came with their own complications.
Everyone is different. I was up and doing stuff 5 days later. But it wasn’t by choice it’s cos I had to 🤣 think I stopped taking pain killers a week after & was back to normal. But even now my scar still hurts at times or gets numb x
I wanted to do natural birth but cos I had high risk and complication in the pregnancy they wanted me to have c section. Just got scared over it and how long recovery will take me.
It took me the full 6 weeks to feel normal after my first and I recovered quicker with my second. On my first I lost a lot of blood which I don't think helped my recovery time. Both were emergency sections.
I've heard that a planned section is easier to recover from. X
Thank you everyone. Yeah Think they planning mine cos I suffer with hypermesis they want growth scan a lot and just wanted me to have an c section be easier for me.

They say 6-8 weeks, the first 2 are by far the hardest! Mine was an emergency csection but I’ve heard that recovery from planned ones is easier xx
