So your doc is old school then. The new one has been in effect for in think around 3 years, just like full term was switched by acog as 39 weeks not 37 but some doctors, typically those who have been practicing quite a while the old school way, havent changed to the new way and they may not out of convenience for them.

Old school thought 4 mons, new school 5 months! Depends which you and your doc go by.
