Ladies I need to know I'm not the only one that feels this way.
I feel so awful for feeling this way but all through my pregnancy me, my partner and all my family had a really odd and very strong feeling that peanut was going to be a girl.
I had my heart set on having a girl then after baby was born and the surprise words were said "it's a boy" I felt my heart sink a little :/
I love him I really do, I mean how could I not but I still have that heart sinking feeling that I didn't have a girl I feel so awful for feeling this way. I haven't admitted this to anyone at all as I feel like such a horrible mum 😭🙈😕 #upsetmummy #feelsoawful #pleasenottheonlyone #lovemybaby

Its called gender disappointment :) very common and normal :) lots of women experience it :) I didnt but just know you arent alone :)
I waited until the birth and all my family and everyone including myself thought i would be having a boy..so when I had a girl it shocked everyone :)
Shes the best thing ever and i wouldnt change her for the world :)
You can have more babies in the future and you will get a girl im sure hun so dont worry xx

I am happy, truly.
I said that at the time and I really meant that too, I don't care what gender so long as they're happy and healthy but I think that because I was convinced it would be a girl then came out a boy instead that's why I feel this was I was fully prepared for a little girl. Was a good shocking surprise for us too so much so that I looked at my mum in utter disbelief after she said It was a boy i was so confused 😂😂
Yeah we aren't having another until Riley is a couple or so years old. I would love to have one of each it's what I want but if we end up with another boy I don't think it will bother me as much as I'm prepared for either gender this time when the time comes 😂
Aw bless him adoption is such a lovely idea 😊 xx

Haha! I could imagine...I was staring at Mayas dad in shock for a bit lol 😂😂😂
Awe couple of years age gap is nice! :)
Yeah adoption is lovely but id like at least one biological child with him lol before that happens. I know he will be a great dad xxx

Just looked at my mum completely dumbfounded 😂 then they gave me him to cuddle 😍
Yeah want to have proper time to spend with Riley watch him learn and grow before we have another I feel it's fairer that way 😊
Completely understand that! Adoption is a lovely thing but I couldn't do it xx

I was convinced and my family it was a girl when I had my scan and they said I'm 50/50 it's a boy I was shocked! I couldn't believe it! Happy shock but I had visioned myself with a little girl, names, clothes I was gonna buy... in some ways I guess I felt like you? But I wouldn't change my little boy for the world now and as winterbaby95 said you can always have more children (I'll probably end up with a 1000 boys!) 😂 very brave for getting it off your chest always here if you need to chat ❤

I envisioned my self with a wee girl too to a point where babies wardrobe was mostly girl clothes and I had to shop after Riley was born as I had next to nothing for the poor thing to wear 😳 Oh I definitely wouldn't change him for the world either x
Yeah I only want 2 kids so I only have 1 more shot for a girl and even then it might not be 😮😂
I really, really didn't want to say anything for fear of being judged or called a bad mum but it was really starting to get me down a lot whenever I'd clothes shop for him and I'd see all these beautiful little dresses in the next isle. Thank you! ❤

When I was pregnant I was convinced baby was a boy so much that my brother bought some little boys trainers for baby! So when we found out at the scan that she was a girl, my OH admitted that he was a bit disappointed but he got over it quick and now she’s here wouldn’t change a thing and has said he doesn’t even care if we don’t have a boy in the future. Gender disappointment is very real and there’s nothing wrong with feeling like this- it’s one reason I will always find out the genders at scan so then we have time to get used to it before birth! Xx

@babypeanut.x yeah we couldn’t find out at our 20week scan so had to fork out for the gender scan! You can always save the girly bits for next one! I’m sure the feeling will pass, I think it’s natural for men to want sons and women to want daughters to be honest! You’ll end up with girl triplets next time🤣 xx

@babypeanut.x before we found out I always went straight to the baby boy section- never even looked at girly bits too, definitely glad I found out or I would’ve been the same and bought all boy things xx

@genieh I kept everything I had for a wee girl and I've been saving all of Riley's outgrown clothes too 😊 He had his heart set on a daughter first 😂 oh god please don't 😮🙈😂 xx

Totally understand u I’ve had gender disappointment so many times I long for a girl but with 7 boys I give up I wouldn’t change any of my children but feel like I have something missing xx

Holy crap 😮 how on earth do you manage! Trooper of a mummy x
I think I'd fall apart. You're amazing!!!
I completely get that you're giving up though tbh it sounds like my luck 😂xx
