We didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on a wedding. We got our paper work done at the courthouse then went to the park and had our son play the officiant. It was much more sentimental.

Congratulations!! This is a very nice idea. Hubby and I went to the courthouse as well almost 6 years ago. We both think weddings are overrated and an unnecessary expense.

@messiah-mommy that's perfect. We decided we would do something special with our kids when we go to Italy but it still wont be anything crazy. I watched bridezillas once with my sister and it absolutely blew my mind that these women could get that intense about a freaking party

@vvrobinson, right because that’s all it is, a party !! They forget what it’s supposed to be about. People go in debt behind wedding costs. Some ppl go into the marriage with resentment because of the amount of money their spouse “needed” to spend on the wedding . I begged my husband to take my ring back it’s beautiful but costs entirely too much. I didn’t even want a ring. The commitment and his last name is good enough
