I’m super stressed right now. My stove went out yesterday and my landlord said they would have it replaced, still waiting. Text the plumber/maintenance guy who says it’s just a pilot light and he’ll light it. Okay well I’m not so sure it’s just the pilot light but whatever, the stove is probably way over 20 years old. Either way IDC whether they fix or replace it as long as it’s by tonight. I have all this food to cook for thanksgiving and no way to cook it as of now. They replied to be at 9am about this, it’s now after 3 and still have yet to show. When I txt the guy and ask when he’ll be here I get idk. Like wtf am I supposed to do?! I can’t even cook dinner, last night on my daughters bday none the less I had to cook enchiladas 2 at a time in the microwave because the oven went out. I’m really getting frustrated.

Tell them you’re withholding rent until it’s fixed or replace. That’ll get them there quick. And you have every right to do so as being able to cook is a human need

OMG my apartment place was like this when the fan on our fridge went out! The thing was ancient and we paid over 900 a month in rent to these people and they had like a brand new gym put in and shit! They didn't even give us a new fridge, they took parts from another broken one!

He got it working, not sure how long it will last this thing looks ancient lol. Has a knob in the front for the oven part, no clock, no window on the front no light etc. it’s working I guess that’s what matters but I’m still waiting for my gas line to my dryer to be fixed ugh. Had an electric dryer when we moved in, only gas hookup of course. Got a gas dryer used 2 weeks ago and still can’t use it because the gas line down in basement is so old it leaks gas like crazy and we can’t even get the old line off to replace it. Talked to the plumber guy about it a few days ago when he came to replace our water heater then went out also 🙄 and said oh I’ll get it replaced and hooked up when I bring the water heater, yeah never happened. Replaced water heater but left old one in my basement, and then says I’ll talk to landlord about gas line. Still waiting I msgd her about it and she says oh I’ll talk to him about it, nothing. Still. Been hang drying all our laundry in the house for a month now, 5 kids and 2 adults makes a TON of laundry and I can only wash 1 load a day usually since it takes so long to hang dry ONE load. By the time I get a load done I have 3 or more to do so I can’t catch up and it’s not feasible for me to haul 5 kids (3 sick) in and out to a laundry mat just because they won’t fix my gas line. Like I’m seriously getting annoyed. Was also told they would replace carpeting, broken light fixtures and install bedroom doors on my kids rooms upstairs..yet to happen. Sorry for the long rant but I’m am so frustrated! I get nowhere! They say they’ll have someone do it then it’s just back and forth and doesn’t get done 🤦🏻♀️😡
