So I’ve taken him to the doctors numerous times for his eczema and tried everything they said and all lotions they want him allergy tested but I’m not sure at his age how accurate it is anyone have any ideas he’s on special detergent for sensitive skin

Yes. It is. I understand. My oldest has it pretty bad. Skin feels like sandpaper. Sometimes it's red and blotchy. I've tried changing diet, clothing fabric, body washes and lotions. Someone suggested a "Vaseline soak". My sils mom did. Where you smother them in Vaseline after a bath
But I haven't tried that

@nerdymommyplus2, I have done that with aquafor but then doctor said to wet wrap him in a damp outfit and throw a dry one over it sounds awful feeling tho

Allergy and eczema do go hand in hand.
Some of the allergies can be tested via blood. Or skin test. Both are pretty accurate. However egg and dairy are commonly outgrown.

Does he break out with certain clothes? My eldest. Her eczema flares up when she wears polyester.
She was also allergic to eggs until she was about 3.
Anna··
@nerdymommyplus2, he hasn’t had eggs yet he’s only 7 months but I’m unsure he’s always got eczema everywhere even his face

Eczema is such a difficult thing because it's so hard to pinpoint. My oldest still has flare ups. Hers were never on her face though.

Bathe him less. My eczema baby got a bath once a week unless absolutely necessary. Everything must be washed in a dye and fragrance free detergent- your clothes since you carry him, bedding, blankets, etc.
Read every label. Artificial ingredients trigger eczema- dyes, fragrance, sweeteners, etc. even “unscented” has fragrances to hide the chemical smell so the more natural the product the better.
We use a combo of an arnica cream, calendula cream and coconut oil when he has a break out. Arnica when it itches, calendula to heal it and coconut oil to super moisturize. We alternate applications.

I’ve tried one bath a week I use coconut oil and everything is dye free that’s why we are turning to allergy because we have tried most things
