I’m worried about my son he’s 2 but barely even talks he says some stuff but not a lot or full sentences , has anyone kids been late talkers ?? The doctor sent out a referral to a speech person to get him tested but I’m scared to get bad news I don’t feel like something wrong I just feel like he’s gon be a little late he’s not around kids to pick up on what they say so I feel like that might be apart of it .. idk I’m scared

My son will be 2 in less then a month. He says one word. He is in speech therapy. Its ok hun do not blame yourself!!! Alot of delayed kids grow up to be doctors fun fact! They focus longer on particular subjects and are way more observersnt of their surroundings
Ohh okay how does he do in therapy ? The doctor referred us but we haven’t got an appt yet just want to know what testing they do so I can be prepared
My son doesnt say complete sentences yet but he understands when we talk to him he will say things like "fix it" when he wants something fixed like his straw comes out of his cup or something. He says "potty time" when he needs to go. Dont stress your boy still young just talk to him in complete sentences pronounce words the way they should be pronounced and read books to him.
@tyrellp, okay thank you it takes some stress off my mind .. yeah my son pooped in the toilet once n got scared of it lol and never went again but he likes getting on the potty
Speech therapy does wonders look into it. It’s usually free before their 3. My son thrives in speech therapy
