So I went in for my ultrasound at 5w5d.. they didn’t even try to hear the heartbeat. Is this normal? They’ve rescheduled my 2 weeks out and I was ok abt it at first and now I’m kinda freaking myself out.
Idk you kinda just told me a stressful experience. But thank you good luck
@newlywedandpreg, You asked if it was normal so I said yes but also told you my personal experience. It’s happened to some of my friends too. It’s always something to mentally prepare for. But worrying about the outcome won’t change the outcome. Just enjoy every moment of pregnancy. I’ve learned that after two losses.
I was 5w5d when i had my first ultrasound, didn’t see or hear the heartbeat, scheduled in 2 weeks and there was strong heartbeat of 163
With my baby boy they wouldn't listen to heartbeat until 12 weeks but they showed me his heartbeat in sonogram. At this point baby is to small to hear it yet.
@newlywedandpreg I had my first ultrasound at exactly 7weeks my son's heart💙 rate was 179
I had my first appointment at 8 weeks :) by then her heartbeat was very strong.. something like 180
It’s rare to hear anything before 6-8 weeks. My doctor wouldn’t even see me until I was 9 weeks. So definitely nothing to be concerned about. As long as they saw something indicating pregnancy, you’re good! I promise! 😊
I got mine done at 6w5d and they warned me they may not be able to find it and that’s why they usually don’t even try until 8wks or later because we freak out if they can’t it
At 5 weeks 5 days I went in for a dating scan and there was no heartbeat. I went back 3 weeks later and there still was no heartbeat. I ended up having to have a D&C because my body wasn’t naturally miscarrying. That’s just my experience though. It could still be too early for you since that is still very early. A lot of OB’s won’t even try looking until 8 weeks. Try not to stress about it! As long as you’re getting positive tests and you’re not bleeding, you’re pregnant. Congrats!
