I got two of my boys circumcised. First healed and a week or so. My second curcimcision wasn't covered by insurance. So didn't have extra money to do it so he did not get it done. He ended up with a bad infection under his foreskin which took over a month to heal even with medicine. And was painful to him. My third son I had found out AFTER that the doctor had only few experiences with circumcising. He messed up. And my son had to go back four times until I was sick of seeing the pain he was in and told the doc either get someone that can fix it correctly or if he will be ok leave him alone. They left him alone.
I left it up to my husband and he opted to. Aftercare was very easy and he healed in about week-ish
Mom of 5 boys and they all got it done and they all are good and the after care was easy by the Third boys I was changing and taken care of it with my eyes closed 😂😂😂
We chose not to circumcise our son because my fiancé is not. And from my own research and speaking to multiple doctors I found it wasn’t necessary unless there was a medical reason. I am very confident in our decision.
I got both mine circumcised it wasn’t even a question to me my husband fought it and didn’t want it I told him to push them out than🤷♀️ after care and healing was easy and quick,
his older two weren’t circumcised and they were both in and out of the hospital till they were about 5 with infections. And even now the younger one still hurts a lot there mom wants to get them circumcised now and we refuse her to do it now at age 6&7
I probably would do it now if it cause such an issue I hear when they are adult it hurt way more
No I did not get my son circumcised. I was absolutely confident in my decision. I did a ton of research and decided that not getting it was the best choice for us. I also didn’t want to put my son through that pain 😭.
My husband isn’t circumcised and he is perfectly fine.
I didnt and I was 100% confident in my choice.
My bf isnt and never had any problems. Plus, with research I felt that was the best choice.
I didn't do it and won't do it to any of my future sons. I'm confident in my decision. My boyfriend isn't, never had a problem in his life, all the boys on his side are intact and never had problems. He is from Mexico where they don't practice it. The foreskin has many many functions. Circumcision causes many problems. I have a friend who was intact until a year ago where his at the time gf pushed him to do it. Poor guy is suffering , the lack of feeling especially. He is very depressed and suicidal about it. It's not something you can replace or grow back. So research it . Us women are lucky to be protected by law, we get to keep our foreskin , even though we get infections left and right and have a whole aisle dedicated to our vaginal hygiene. Also foreskin is fused to the head of the penis until puberty, so do not retract, it will cause great pain. Early retraction can cause infection and discomfort. Nothing wrong with having foreskin, it's not gross. It's actually way more common than people think. We teach our daughters to love their bodies the way they are born, why not teach our sons the same?
I’ve had both my boys circumcised and am 100% confident in my decision.. we’ve never had a single problem with the healing. They both healed up fantastic.
I believe it only I got my oldest son and will get my baby when he born done for what I believe what's best for my family and it ok for people who dont they have that right and we all raise are kids just do your research on what is best for your family I hope the best I have friends who do and don't do it
I did for my first & will for my second son! After care was super easy! Healed in about 5 days to a week!
I did , & he healed wonderfully, no extra bleeding & he didn’t seem bothered by his circ the entire time it was healing either.
I got my son circumcised. My bf was very persistent on him getting it done to avoid future problems about “being different” or getting made fun of when he got to changing rooms in school. Healing went great. Just had to use Vaseline so it didn’t stick to the diaper. Took about 1-2 weeks for it to heal.
I did with both my boys and was happy I did. Both healed within a week. They never fussed or had any issues with it
Same. It's not medically necessary. I saw no reason to have it done.
I got my son circumcised. He didn't show any discomfort after getting it done. Healed withing 7-10 days. He's been doing great and to me it's better hygiene and less risk for infection. He is my first son so i was scared to do it at first but it wasn't as bad as I expected. He is barely going to be a month old. 😊
Same risk of infection both ways and hygiene = shower for both as well. Nothing changes.
I got my son circumcised he healed in a week or so. They give you this ointment & you just leave a gauze on with each diaper change & he seemed to be perfectly fine. My bf was against it but from all the infections my brother has gotten I didn’t want to risk any of that with my son..
With my first I did because I wasn’t really educated about it and thought it was a must... the healing and after care was great...every diaper change I applied a lot of Vaseline to the diaper and penis...with my last 2 I chose not to because my fiancé ain’t and I really educated myself on it before my decision.
I did get my little man circumcised and caring for it was pretty simple. The birth center even gave us directions as well, for how to care for it which was great
Yes with my 3 yr old and yes with the one thats baking. I dont have a penis so I left that choice to the father.
My ex husband was never circumcised. He told me he's been insecure about it his entire life.
Well, I thought about doing it for my son.... every male in my family is circumcised so why wouldn’t I circumcise my son? After researching, I learned a lot about the importance of the foreskin and the benefits of it... and realized that it’s his body, his penis, should be his choice. So I didn’t circumcise him. And since then I’ve actually gotten a lot of interesting info from family members... my son is the first to be left intact and he’s the only boy on both sides of the family to not have a single penis issue. I mean, he’s only 2 but still. All the circumcised men on both sides have life long issues they have dealt with. I’m due with another boy in January and he won’t be circumcised either. 1000% confident.
My mom done her first boy didn’t have any problems but she didn’t do her second son cause his father isn’t but cause of him not being circumcised it is causing him a lot of problems
Since I was 15 and researched all aspects since then (I'm 28 now) I was confident then and more so now to leave his body choices and appearance up to him. My son is intact and he can alter his body if he wishes with conscent. No regrets.
I would regret putting him through surgery so early in life unnecessarily. Especially the healing and wound in a diaper. And any other complications that generally arise well into puberty with circumcised boys.
