What would you ask someone to bring for Christmas dinner when they aren’t a super talented cook, but know the basics?
My one talent is im a phenomenal cook, so I’m extremely picky about what I ask others to bring.
Because I’m pregnant this year, everyone is asking me more “what can I cook & bring?” which is so kind.
(Also, no meat - my entire family on both my husbands, and my side are all veg.)

Haha I’m the same way about food so I end up cooking most of it even though it’s a lot of work. If I leave up to other people then they end up bringing store-bought dishes and I just can’t have a store-bought thanksgiving 🤢 So what I tell people is to bring drinks and dessert. I only drink water and I always get the pumpkin pie that I like so whatever they bring is for themselves and everyone else. You could also suggest easy things like canned cranberry sauce, rolls, canned gravy etc.

Mashed potatoes, bread/rolls, dessert or corn. Simple items most can't mess up

Drinks. Seriously. Ask for wine, soda, egg nog whatever. Whenever someone doesn’t know how to cook I don’t even want to risk them screwing it up lol

This is what I’m going to do I think. I’ll tell her rolls (and I’ll make a different kind of roll - we have a large family.) two bottles of wine, and cider. 🙌🏼

great idea. Rolls are hard to mess up. Lol
