Breastfeeding just isn't working out, again. He was latching pretty good from delivery untill about 3 days old. Although I was still using formula to top off. Once milk came in latching became super hard to the point he refuses the breast.. so last night I started to pump instead. It seems every time I pump I get less!

Just keep offerring the breast pump what you can and top off with formula your doing great! My second had trouble latching he didnt latch until he was 3 weeks old i was doing exactly what you were doing. I know it can be extremely frusterating but it will all be worth it. Hang in there mama your doing so good!

My doctor is having problems too she’s barely 3 days old and dropped 10 Oz already I tried speaking to a lactation consultant and she made me feel awful for wanting to give her a bottle

Don’t give up mama! Make sure you’re drinking plenty water and try not to stress about how much you’re making. Try to relax when you’re pumping. How long are you pumping for?

No need to top off, that’s what damages breastfeeding relationships- they get used to the easier latch with the bottle. Hand express a Little first. Google videos/images on how to get a good latch. They’ll show different techniques. An ounce is fine at this age! They’re bellies are so small. Also, see if you have a local Lactation consultant, they were immensely helpful when I was ebf my youngest.
