Why is it every time I do a photo session they ask for more pictures? I did a family shoot of 7 people as well as some 2nd birthday pictures. They got about 50 edited photos for 40$ that took me about 7 hours to edit maybe 6 with my dinner break. Then they say they love them but ask about if I have any other poses in certain spots and if they can have those to.
Do Not Post TMI Photos in this group!!! This is a group of ladies that are kind, encouraging, understanding and caring of any problems you may have ttc. You can ask all the questions you want, if this group is capable of answering, we will do so. But this group does not appreciate the TMI photos. We will report them. So if you seriously need to post a picture of your bodily fluids, please do so in another group. We are not trying to be rude we are just trying to keep this group clean and happy.

Would it bother you if your boyfriend or husband liked other girls photos on social media? Asking for a friend. Just want to see what other woman have to say about it. My advice to her was I don't think it is right for him to do that, but everyone acts differently about it.
Sorry to the ladies who are confused i didn’t mean to make such a fuss just wanted to share some pictures of my son but of course some are worried about other things instead of asking they assume Smh we have bigger problems in the world

Why aren’t you charging more? As for the additional poses just tell them you already picked out the best ones.

$600 for 5 images??? I’d like to see some examples of what an $100 and some dollar photo looks like lol I charge a flat $100 bucks and they get all of the photos that turned out from their session. It’s always over 100 photos. I know I’m worth more but I’m not out to make people go broke over a session. I agree you need to charge more but you know what you’re worth. If you’re not at a point where you’re comfortable with the quality of your work then that’s your call. But asking for more photos is annoying. Did you specify how many they would be getting when they hired you?

I said around 40-50 with the timeframe and amount of group shots that were going to be taken. Yeah I just feel like my work isnt worth more but I'm pretty hard on myself.

if you specified and they knew before hand how many they were getting then they need to kick rocks. They knew what they were getting and it’s not on you. Sorry you’re having tough clients. At least you are learning who to shoot for and who not to!

its not like they are asking for a bunch more maybe like 2-3 but its like ugh isn't 50 enough? Lol if I didn't include them there was a reason. Like I didn't like certain lighting or something.

First of all they should have told you ahead of time if they wanted certain poses in certain locations so you could make sure to get enough that there are good ones. Second of all, when you offer a package you need to state the package includes a certain amount of edited photos so people aren’t expecting 100 and you only planned to do 50. Lastly, charge way more!

I did state that they would get 40-50 edited photos. With the extra they wanted would put them at 52. I don't charge more because I feel like my work isn't worth more. Here is an example of what they got.

@spookylyn yeah I can't do 50 again for 40$ that was a lot of work for so little. I have plans to cut down editing time but still. Thanks for saying I'm worth more though! I know I'm not like the best but I don't think I'm too bad either.

@aylenrose, for some reason it won’t let me open your reply but even if you don’t think you are worth more, at least charge min wage. $40 for 7 hours of work is only $5.71 an hour. Any level of photographer is worth more than that
