At how many centimeters did you get an epidural & does it hurt ? I really want to go natural but…

Honestly you won’t notice any pain from the epidural if your contractions are bad

My first I was only at a 3. I had already gotten something through my iv for anxiety and my Dr told me she wasn't going to push for an epi, but she would personally get one by the way I was reacting since the pain was triggering my anxiety.

With my second I brought minty chewing gum and it really helped me through contractions and kept my mouth from getting dry. I ended up getting one at 7cm when I couldn't tolerate any more.

My epidural didn't hurt since I was having a contraction while getting it. The second time was a really strong pinch and hurt for maybe 5 seconds.

I got it at 5 cm after like twelve hours. Did not hurt at all. I just got really cold after.

I got it at 6 cm with my son and 5 cm with my daughter. It hurt a little bit but contractions were way worse and I can't imagine pushing without it.

6 cm and I seriously didn’t feel it at all, I had to ask if they were done doing it. And to be honest it saved me I was reallyyyy not doing too well I was passing out in between contractions and after the epidural I had zero pain. I know not everyone’s goes that well but it made my labor and birth experience enjoyable!!

I got mine at 9cm and it didn't hurt at all. The contractions kept my mind of getting the epidural.

I almost died in the hospital because of my epidural. I wouldn’t recommend it.
