So I have 9 ounce bottles are those just too big to use for a newborn? (I know they will only drink a max of 4 oz. btw) so do I need to get smaller bottles

@zay_is_mylove, I have both! Honestly I don’t even use the smaller ones because he likes the Dr Brown bottles better than the tommee tippee ones (I think it’s just because the nipple on the dr browns are smaller around)

I used the small 5 Oz bottles for the first couple months I think the 9 Oz ones are too big for newborn especially since my son didn't drink more than 4 Oz til like 3 months

I would think that the bigger bottles with less milk or formula would trap more air?

Doesnt matter the bottle size it might be annoying for you to hold a biggwr bottle but theres no other issues
And air would only get to the baby if your not tipping it up just like when the baby drinks half the bottle 🤔

I didnt invest in any because they only use them for first 3 months where as 8/9 ounce they can use through whole first year and just change nipple. You dont have to fill up the 8 ounce. It will not trap air. Just like in the small bottles you cannot let them suck it all the way empty to where they suck that air. I got a few small ones from registries and baby shower but was glad to not have wasted money on them.
