One of the girls I know is pregnant and about 24 weeks or so. She asked on Facebook if she should go to the ER and get checked because her 5 year old son threw a huge tantrum and hit/kicked her multiple times in the stomach. Also threw some things at her. She's on blood thinners because of a clot and she bruises easy because of it. She also mentioned her stomach hurting now. So I commented on it and said yes just to be safe and make sure her and her baby were ok she should go get checked out. She comments back saying she's been hit on the head before and was fine so she doesn't want to go because she's tired of seeing doctors. Plus felt a couple movements so she assumes her son is ok in there. What bugs me is 1) why ask and when people tell you to go to be safe and make sure all is well you say no? 2) assume since something happened to you and you ended up being ok that means you shouldn't check on your unborn son because you think he will be ok being hit and kicked hard multiple times. Ultimately it's up to her what she ends up doing and I get being tired of doctors after having to see them so much but I feel like you go for your baby but that's just me. Rant over!

I didn't say anything after that I was in shock that she would ask and then refuse to go because she doesn't want to deal with more doctors. I'm done trying to help give her advice lol I just hope that baby is ok.

I’m like that with one of my step kids cause I haven’t been around him long enough and one day we were at breakfast and I jumped on him ever so slightly it was like a complete accident and he was BALLING so now I refrain from saying anything at all when it comes to that stuff so I get it

@aylenrose I used to work in a behavioral class in an elementary school. I have been trained to take a kid down without it being harmful to them or myself. And I absolutely would if my kid hit me. He'd be on the floor in seconds and unable to wriggle free. My children will not walk all over me like a pushover. I've got 2 . They know better lol

That’s just sad!!! I would always go get my child checked out who cares if your tired of doctors that’s what you sign up for being pregnant and if that was my kid his ass would get beat!

That's what I'm saying! If that happened to me I'd be getting checked out asap regardless of how many times I've seen the doctor because its not just about me and my well being any more it's the baby I'm growing to. I guess some people just don't see it that way? Yeah my husband said the same thing that if our son did something like that at that age he would get his butt whooped so hard.

Yeah for doing what he did to his mom he definitely deserved a spanking or something! We don't like to spank our son but if he did something really bad then yeah he would get one real quick.

I get it when 2 or 3 year olds throwing a tantrum but not a 5 yr old. Especially getting this physical 😫. And honestly it doesn’t sound she is in safe environment, you mentioned she had been hit in the head before? .... 😱

yes but she said it was from a picture frame that fell off and hit her. She doesn't have any issues with her husband and daughter and this was the first time her son has thrown a fit like that. I'm surprised to that a 5 year old would do something like that. Like yeah get pouty, whine, throw a little fit but not like scream and hit and stuff.
