Bleeding at 6 weeks...
so the past 2 days I've noticed very light brown 'blood' when I've been going to the toilet, it's not a lot but it has transferred to my underwear and today there was some red in it. It's not like that of a period but more towards the end/start of a period and even noticed some dark brown stringy-like blood just there now at my cervix. Should I be worried? I had cramps at the start but they've seem to have gone. #earlypregnancy #symptoms #worried #bleeding

Are you already with a midwife? If so I would give them a call. If not I would contact your gp who could either put you in touch with an early pregnancy assessment unit or at least point you in the right direction. I have been experiencing some bleeding for the last few days aswell and had a scan on Monday just to check the little bean was okay. X

Call ur local midwife unit and get checked out. U can read a lot about this and it being ok but this is what I had when I had an early loss. Went on for 5 days and then I passed a lump. Nothing anyone else can say can make u feel better about it. Get checked out!

This happened to me in my first pregnancy. I’d arranged a booking in appointment with my midwife but hadn’t seen them so I didn’t have any contact details. I phoned my gp to ask what to do and they got me go in to be seen by them, she phoned the early pregnancy unit and booked me in with them for a scan a few days later. I had to go to a and e the next morning as my bleeding got heavier. Unfortunately mine ended in miscarriage but it’s happened to some of my friends and they went on to have healthy babies x

I had this happen to me, at 6 weeks, well I thought I was 7 weeks, I rang my GP and he said all will be fine but to put my mind at ease he booked me in for an emergency scan, I got to see my little bean, I was a week behind so was 6 weeks but baby was healthy with a strong heart beat and my bleeding lasted for 6 days, I am sure you'll be absaloutey fine but if concerned contact your GP

Hi were you able to get an ultrasound scan at 6 weeks? the thought of an internal scan right now feels a bit uncomfortable

no I had internal but honestly it wasnt painful, not even uncomfortable, they put so much lube on it and they ask you to take a deep breath when they pop it in and was so reassuring seeing my buba!!! X

thanks everyone, I have an appointment with my GP for 4pm today, it will be my first seeing them as the waiting list here is terrible and I had to explain to the receptionist what I was going through.
