We just close the door. We still have the baby monitor in the room too.

We close their door at night & leave a night light on.

@meetthevalentines2017, exactly our place is 100% baby proof atleast safety ways but still my worst fear too we live an apartment so between our door and the front door it would be a lot for him to get completely out but we live really close to two main roads here and I would never forgive myself if he got out ( it actually happened with my step kids when they were with their mom and they landed up In foster care) and for awhile we had his door shut and the baby gate up and all 3 locks on the front door but my husband told me I was being to extra so we stopped with the baby gate but because I knew he couldn’t open the door and I’m a super light sleeper and my room is right next to his and his brothers either sleep in their with him or in the living room so our oldest would wake up too

@mombie. That's good. I'm a light sleeper too but cant help if you fall into that deep sleep so the risk isnt worth it. Idc who doesnt like the lock. It keeps my baby where I know he is at night. Safe. In his bed.

When I lived with my baby cousin we just closed the door . We had monitors in the room with cameras and we could talk to him through it . Was super helpful, I have the same one
