I’ve never had a problem with low progesterone before, just worried for some reason. 😬

I had a miscarriage in March and they didn't do it and I was so mad because baby passed at 5 weeks I didn't know till 9 :/ so with my current pregnancy I asked for hg levels and it wasn't an issue .... Totally advocate for yourself.

With my first pregnancy I took progesterone.... With this pregnancy I requested for my levels to get checked.... It took some time (new doctor) because they were like we don't really do anything until your first appointment....I told them I wanted it done and I'm glad I did because I am 25 weeks and STILL taking shots! @jacqueline.garth You're paying for it, if you want it done you should be able to. I had to pay 2 Co pays like it was my first time there.... Idk if they messed up on that or if that's just how they do.

I called the doctor and they told me it’s likely my insurance couldn’t pay for it and even if I had low progesterone they couldn’t stop me from a miscarriage. So... I just have to wait for my ultrasound on the 30th. 😩

She also said since I’ve never had a miscarriage it’s unlikely I will have a problem. So frustrated!

@scidg3, they just acted like I was a burden or something. And said since I’ve never needed it or had a problem that I probably wouldn’t this time either.

If you’ve never had issues with progesterone before and have 3 healthy children, there’s no need for early testing. You’ll have your normal blood work done around 8w or whenever you see your doc for the first time.

@cams, I’ve just been crampy. More so than with any other baby. So that was my only concern. I’m sure it’s all fine. But, just being overly cautious.
