Our little man is in the mimicking stage, and copies different actions and sounds. A few days ago he found our daughters play purse put it over his shoulder blew a kiss and started walking around. I thought it was adorable, daddy didn't. And went after me saying I need to teach him how to be a boy. I'm home with him all the time. My SO accused him of being way to attached to me. He is 16M! And teething! And a Baby. If he wants him to be more boyish (which I feel he is bc he climbs on everything, loves making car noses and gets into everything) maybe he should send more time with him, just saying.

Your so should calm down a little. He's with you all day. Doesnt mean he wont eventually display other behaviors. And you're right. You can't teach him to be a man. Your so needs to do that.

I think loving and respecting woman is a huge part of being a good man. Being a mamas boy doesn’t make him a whimp! Plus he is still so young! He’s got plenty of time to get into all the “boy” stuff

He would love my house then..<-sarcasm! My 3 yr old boy has got in my bag and put on lipstick and blush. When we go shopping he will pick up stuff and say it’s cute. My husband gets so irritated but he watches me get ready for work almost every day and goes shopping with me when I go. He also likes to try to get daddy’s clippers and “shave” his face. It’s all imitation!

Even if your son wasn’t imitating you and just likes purses who cares? Idk why some parents feel like you have to teach your children how to be. Let him express himself he’ll be happier that way.
