Placenta isn’t working properly all the way so that’s the reason she’s under weight & in the 8% tile , induction will happen at 37 or 38 weeks , she may come out on her own sooner . Long as she’s healthy nothing else matters 😊

If they got the measurements from an ultrasound weight isn't accurate it may be different with you but I've had many people tell me they were supposed to have a big baby according to the doctor's and was like 2-3 pounds off. How much did they say she weighs out of curiosity??

last growth ultrasound I had 2 weeks ago she was 4 pounds & 2oz . I have Doppler’s weekly , growth scans every 2 weeks & NST twice a week

They can still determine the state of the placenta via ultrasound, which could be an probable answer to low measurements regardless if it's a estimate @laurentimm3264
Even if they are off, which you are right they are often... sounds like they still have determined a issue with the placenta, which is even more serious could cause stillbirth

She has IUGR it’s not that babies weight is off but often the abdomen doesn’t grow hardly at all compared to the head and legs. This becomes dangerous because the placenta starts to calcifies and can detach not only killing the baby but the mother can also bleed to death. Once the baby shows no growth it’s no longer beneficial to keep the baby inside the mother and chances of growth outside of the womb are way better then inside. I have had 2 IUGR babies now.

@laurentimm3264, I agree they told me my son was 7 pounds at 38 week scan he was born at 39 weighing 5 pounds . They told me my daughter was 5 pounds and she came out 6 pounds
