Can your water break without any indication it's going to? (Like contractions, pain etc?)
I hear women say they have painful Braxton hicks, I've definitely experienced BH but they weren't painful just extremely uncomfortable with the tightening.. can bh contractions be painful? And if they are painful is it a consistent pain with each one? And real contractions get more painful over time?
I know mucus plugs can regenerate and could mean nothing when you lose it but when did you guys start losing yours? (I have not yet)
Is the "bloody show" a big indicator that labor is within 24 hours? (That's what I've read)
If you have your bloody show is there any time frame you should go to the hospital or should you wait until contractions show you're in labor?
Thanks! I'm just really scared and excited for labor, ofcourse I dont want it to happen for another few weeks but I'm trying to learn what I should be watching for or just things that happen when it's time because my due date is creeping up very quickly!!
Any advice on anything that maybe I didnt mention is welcomed, really any advice on anything is welcomed lol

You're water can break without warning, it can also be a slow leak over time instead of a sudden gush of water all at once. BH can be painful, but you can tell the difference between them and labor contractions by trying to lay down and relax. BH will go away, labor contractions will not. Real contractions can increase in pain but won't always. If you have any bleeding you should call the doctor, whether you believe it is your bloody show or not. Everyone's body is different and progresses differently. You can go in to labor without having one and you can go into labor later even if you do have one.

I can only answer the water breaking question bc I had no symptoms before it at all and actually none after it broke either like no contractions I could feel till days later n induced .. ontop of that my water broke 3-4 days prior and I didn’t even know bc my son was blocking it from leaking which was scary bc they worry abt so many things like lack of fluid, infection, I was suppose to do a c-section bc being induced did nothing but the night of my c section planned he came quick and fast... healthy boy

Yes, you’re water can break without warming. It’s not always a gush of fluids like in movies. The majority of the time it’s just a slow leak.
I had painful BH with 2 or 3 pregnancies. My BH felt like my early labor contractions. The only reason I knew I had gone into labor this last time (I was induced with my first 2) was because they had been going on for over 8 hours and gotten more painful.
I’ve never had a bloody show. I’ve never lost any mucous plug.

Honestly being a third time mom , I still have these questions! I was induced both times so I am curious to know what it's like to go into labor on your own.. but I never lost my mucus plug nor did my water ever break on it's own ..however with my first son I had my bloody show on a Saturday and still never went into labor until I was induced on the following Tuesday !

For me, my water never broke, it had to be broken at the hospital. I was already 8cm dialated when I went in, but no water breakage. They checked and even said I had a bulging water bag, yet didn't burst. The contractions for when i knew i was going into labor were like very intense period pains. The night before I had my bloody show, so for me it did start within the 24 hr window. My contractions did get more powerful as time went on, the morning i went into active labor- it was like a light regular period pain. Towards 6pm it was pretty intense with 5 min in between each. I hope this helps, even though every lady is different!!!

My water broke after I had my membrane sweep I was 39 weeks 4 days first membrane sweep was at 38 weeks which started labor but did not cause my water to break so I had it done a week later I did not have Braxton Hicks with my first son as bad as I have them with my second sonI'm going to be 38 weeks and 3 days and I plan on getting my membrane sweep again and it is very painful but there's no stupid questions especially when you're a first-time mom or a mom of 10 I have learned every pregnancy is very different
