Wait until 6 months (unless specifically instructed to do so by a doctor).
@president.mommy.on.board., i won’t call you crazy I want everyone opinions
Tbh I gave my son water even though his pediatrician told us not to but only when he had hiccups 🤷🏻♀️ call me a bad mom don’t care 🤷🏻♀️ he’s perfectly fine and very healthy also will be a year in ten days ♥️
@yelitzagarcia70, no tea, no water. Breastmilk or formula only. It’ll throw off their electrolytes and is dangerous. Especially if it makes them poop
@emilymarie1357, I give my baby tea cause he was constipated with baby water and it made him poop fast
No! I wish I knew the mom who has all the info on giving water to your baby so I could tag her for you.
No. You shouldn’t give water until at least 6 months old. Water intoxication. They get all the nutrients and hydration they need from formula/breast milk. I didn’t even know this until I had my second child but thankfully never gave my first born water until he was over 6 months old.
There really isn’t a reason to.. if you suspect dehydration, water isn’t going to help them like it helps us. Breastmilk or formula is the only thing that helps dehydration in infants. Once they are a bit older, sometimes you can give small amounts of Pedialyte, when given the okay from your Pedicatrican, but they really would never recommend it so young ☺️
