So is it bad to soak in the tub after birth or no? My mom said it can start an infection

Check your discharge papers. For my vaginal delivery it was recommended for my healing to soak 2 times a day for 10 minutes. Nothing was supposed to be in the water though, just water.

I had a standard vaginal delivery and my nurses actually encouraged me to soak a few times a day to help with healing.

I also was told to soak after birth. Even in the hospital. But after my miscarraige I was told to wait 2 weeks. Some Drs are different
