So I took my children to the doctors a month ago for colds. The doctor prescribed them allergy medicine which my oldest took all of hers last week. I took them back last week because at night time and in the morning they’re coughing uncontrollably and it’s been like this all month. They’re perfectly fine throughout the day though. The doctor refills my daughters allergy medicine which I don’t understand why because it obviously didn’t work. I just want the coughing to stop 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️

Both my kids allergies flare up in the fall when the leaves start falling. The cough mostly at night because they are laying down. Once they're up playing it calms down. They might need a different kind of allergy med.

That’s what I’m thinking. It’s only at night and when they wake up in the morning. And the allergy medicine they have last for 30 days. They don’t have a running nose or anything but they have this terrible cough

Allergies dont always just go away. They are seasonal. They go away with the season change. The medicine may lessen her symptoms and may make her more comfortable but may not stop the cough.

I get it’s not supposed to stop it all together. Unfortunately I have allergies too. But i just didn’t think while she’s taking it she’d get worse
