Hey so TMI post. Umm I'm having a little problem. I gave birth the 30th. I've been having abnormally bad cramps which i know comes with he territory of birth but today i went to the bathroom and i went to wipe i started getting tons of blood. Its been calm for a couple days. But this huge blood clot very thin at the end was hanging. I tried pulling it out but it seemed to be stuck. So i tries again and the thin part ripped off but then a bigger part started to pull out. It is still stuck I'm scared to pull as hard as i can incase its its something bad. Idk I've never dealt with anything like that. Anyone ever dealt with this before or know what to do?

I had sooo many blood clots after birth, and period/contraction like cramping. I would say it’s normal unless you’re having really bad pain or are filling up more than one pad an hour.. they also say if the blood clots are bigger than plum size to go in.

Well i just dont know if its big or not i read something online about how clots can be stuck to your placental tissue

as long as you’re not sweaty, have a fever, bleeding really bad or feel sick or anything abnormal then you’re good. Maybe just call the ob in the morning and double check for peace of mind? They’re so normal after birth though, and mine would hang down too until it all came out 😷

If you soak a pad in an hour or have clots the size of a golf ball you should go to the doctor. That's what i was told

You should definitely call your doctor and let them know. It's not true at all that you need to be sweaty, have a fever, be bleeding heavily or sick to be having issues or retained products. With our second I kept passing huge fist sized clots. I was checked twice with a physical exam and the day I was supposed to go back to work I woke up just really tired. I called and said I would be a little late because I needed more sleep. When I woke up I went to the bathroom and felt a huge mass pass. I grabbed it out if the toilet and called the doctor. It was a huge mass of retained placenta. And the only sign I had was those big clots I kept passing. I was 7 weeks post partum when that happened.

The day after I had my daughter I passed a huge softball size clot. I passed a few smaller ones after that as well. When they sent me home they told me if I had anything bigger than a golf ball to call my OB and get looked at.
