@kambam, I can’t just leave though 😭 I just bought a car the down payment went out yesterday and my first payment is on the 27th so if I leave and can’t get a new job like within a week or 2 I’m screwed and hard

@kambam, I hear their company is good too and there’s one down the street from me. I’m mostly nervous because I have to be picky about hours because of my son..he wakes up at night so I have to be here to get up with him and then I can’t work before and day cares open 😭 it’s so hard lol

Small hack: I would only apply to places that are open short hours and close early like 6p. But whole foods should be somewhat flexible. Wont know until you interview

Costco is a good company to work for. They have great benefits for part time, and better at fulltime. I believe there was an increase on the starting wage, not sure maybe around $13-14(?) You get raises by putting in hours. If you wanna cap out quickly, youre going to need to do some serious OT. They also give bonuses twice a year, but you need to meet certain hours to get it.( This will take years 😅 ) The longer you have worked for the company the bigger your bonus is. Sunday, is premium pay :) &’ the company always observes the holidays, so you will be getting it off. Depending which position / department you apply for, some are more physically demanding than others. &’ Almost everything goes by seniority.

I worked alot childcare center jobs so I know what you mean I got burnt out of it myself cuz it was not what I wanted to do long term but I have been at target for 2 months now and I love it I work at the on off Madison ave in sac and they recognize your work and compliment you on your work and they just raised there starting pay to 12 a hour for everyone even seasonal and I believe they are still hiring for seasonal till the end of the week I think and they will be a 15 a hour company in 2020 and also offer benefits for part time and full time you just have to work a total of 1000 hours first to qualify I'm not seasonal so I'm not sure the hours for them but I know I get a average of 18 to 35 a week and u can allways pick up extra shifts if you want to make more so u can technically work 40 hours a week just cant go over 40 a week :)

Sorry if that was alot lol it's just been a really positive and good change for me going from childcare to target :)

Yikes how do you even survive on 10.50 an hour? I’d definitely be looking for a new job!

I work in assisted living and make $12 an hour but on a 4-2 (on 4 days, off 2) schedule so I rarely get 40 hours a week. I don’t get paid vacation and in the last 4 months my boss has already taken 2 vacations that are paid. I also have to work holidays if they fall within my schedule

I don’t like my job but I keep reminding myself it’s paying bills and it’s giving me health insurance

I’m graduating medical assistant school in April so hopefully I find a good job with that
