No one or nothing really prepares you on how it will be after the baby is born. You and the SO have the talk about how things will be. How much they are going to help but once the day comes it doesn’t seem to be like that. My SO helps minimally. He has changed maybe 4 diapers since he has been born and fed him a handful more of times. My thing is. He works over night and then comes home and is tired so sleeps. I feel like where I don’t technically work I shouldn’t let all of this get to me but then I can’t help it. I feel guilty for being angry with him but then on the other hand I don’t because I am consistently with our baby 24/7 which I do not mind at all but I would like a break every now and then and a little more help. Starting to loose myself a bit...

I understand that. I'm in the same boat as you are. It's tough but mines a little bit diffrent I work part time to. It will get better belive me I just appreciate the little bit he does do.

@mommabear2018, thanks for the input. That’s what I keep telling myself things will get better I’m just trying to wait it out. But some days I’m just ready to walk away.

@traesmomma18 have u asked him to help just wondering cuz sometimes guys don't relize that u want help or to get away for a little but without u saying something
Tiffany·
@mommabear2018, I’ve mentioned it. I feel like he looks at it as you aren’t going to work kind of thing. Idk I think I might just be having a moment lol
Jasmin·
@traesmomma18 Oh well we are allowed to have those moments to tho

Try talking to him my man works 7 days a week and still helps me !

Talk it out with him, tell him your hormones may still be funky and you get overly upset at things (just as fair warning), but that you would appreciate some help because it’s a lot to handle all alone with him gone...

I’m a stay at home too & my hubs works, but you still need breaks! My hubs has checked out of the father role...he whines & is passive aggressive when baby needs something or I need something. My dad worked swing shifts in a steel mill for 35yrs... and he spent every waking moment with us with sleep or no sleep.

Yes!! Even if it’s for 15 min I’ll take it. I kind of gave him a cold shoulder for the day and today he came home much better lol
