Well I screwed up. I took my best friends cat thinking that my two will get along with him and that it would be easy. Boy was I wrong. Let's just say I have yet to go to bed because all they do is fight and it's getting worse. I can't do this. I don't want my two getting hurt and I don't want my best friends cat getting hurt. I am a nervous wreck to the point that I feel sick. I don't want my best friend to hate me cuz I can't keep her cat but at the same time I have to think about mine because they are my babies and I don't want anything to happen to them. I feel so discouraged and like a failure at everything

How old are they? Normally cats don’t like each other at first but will gradually learn to get along can take up to a week or so before they accept the new cat. Remember hissing growling or swatting away is normal behavior for them towards the newcomer. We’ve had to introduce two kitty’s to our only female and both times it took a bit but she came around:)

Once I got a new roommate and her cat and my cat HATED each other.
It was so bad my cat ended up going bald from stress after only 3/5days.
This is what worked:
For 7 days we would keep them both confined to different rooms.
And then for 1 hour a day we would put each of them in carrying pet cases and faced them about 3 feet from each other. We would just go about our business and let them stay in their crates facing each other. When the hour was up we would put them back in their rooms.
After one week we let them stay in their crates for one hour and when the hour was up, we opened the crates.
Zero issues.
They were super friendly after that.

To update all of you I ended up taking the cat back to my friend because he began to attack my cats even more. I now have another problem on my hands. My two femals that I've had got almost 3 years are not fighting. The one is being very aggressive and growling a lot. I feel like I really screwed up
