I need to vent awhile ago at the dinner table my fiancee and I were eating dinner and my kids were running around. Well my oldest was looking for his screw to his training wheel it fell off. Well he looked in the refrigerator since his brother who is 2 puts everything in there well my fiancee says this. "ONLY SOMEONE THAT THINKS STUPIDLY IS GOING TO LOOK IN THE REFRIGERATOR FOR A SCREW." AND I SAID SO THEN MY SON IS STUPID. THAT PISSED ME OFF I GOT UP AND THREW MY FOOD IN THE TRASH AND CAME TO THE ROOM. And now my fiancee is sleeping in the freaking living room if anything I should be the one sleeping there. Did I over exaggerate or would y'all done the same. My son isn't his by the way only the 2 yr old

I don’t think you overreacted. 2 year olds put shit everywhere. Lol. Your oldest isn’t stupid and it was unfair for your fiancée to say that. ESPECIALLY in front of him.

No man should speak about a child in that manor, nor should he call names. He is learning behaviors like a sponge, especially from someone he looks up to. He should be uplifting.. Speaking from experience, my brother always said things like this to me when I was little. I believed him. Words cannot be taken back. Many times, hurtful words are what sticks in our minds & they can cause a lot of trauma. This may be something someone thinks is not a big deal now but it really is.
