These contractions confuse me so much they are timeable but not painful more so just annoying. At a loss about what to do because I really don’t want to go and get sent home again
I personally had NO pain with my middle child (now 6) but consistent contractions and back labour. I actually literally just thought I had the runs till I began timing. It didn’t become painful till after my waters broke.
@owenjacesmama3, Your doctor shouldn’t have a license if they told you if you can time your contractions your not in labour lol ANYONE would agree with that. If you’ve had two kids then you should be aware you must have consistently timed contractions to be in active labour 🙄 It’s how the body works. Sporadic contractions are called Braxton Hicks and do not equate to active labour.
I was in early labor twice. Im not here to argue w you. I really don't give a shit what you have to say. I told her what a LICENSED DOCTOR told me. Not a l&d nurse. Have a nice night.
@owenjacesmama3, Ok you clearly just wish to argue. Your information isn’t correct. I work on an L&D unit I’m fairly certain no doctor would ever tell someone if you can time your contractions it isn’t time and your not in labour.
Likely the reason no one cared about your contractions was because you were dilated past a certain point, and that’s not the case for everyone.
Obviously you know more then medical professionals lol
Neither hospital i went to even cared about timing them. I would never of been able to time them w my kids. Saying your supposed to time when is incorrect. "Supposed to" isnt a requirement.
@owenjacesmama3, All OBGYNs and L&D units insist on timing contractions....your information is not correct.
“If you can time them, it isn’t time” is absolutely not valid information I’m sorry.
I am an L&D nurse (RnBscn) and if the contractions can’t be timed that’s when it’s in fact “not time”. Your absolutely supposed to time your contractions and they even have apps now 😊
