33 week appointment yesterday went well. My doctor ended up checking my cervix and etc because she doesn’t think I’ll last until then being that my son was preterm and I’ve began to soften.
She explained to me that when my stomach has been tightening up I’ve been having contractions but I’m confused? Are these what they call Braxton Hicks??
Is it suppose to hurt ?? I’m not hurting but she says to call if they continue back to back for 10mins straight 😳

I thought, at the time that I was having Braxton Hicks, that it was more uncomfortable and period crampy kinda feeling and only actually hurt every once in a while if I had them for a bit of time. Once I had real contractions those Braxton Hicks were NOTHING compared to the real thing!

Yesss the real contractions are worst than ever. I’ve been having both the period cramps and stomach tightening as well but I couldn’t tell which was which

Mine have been hurting too and I'm already going in to be induced in my 38th week due to previous medical issues and now my fluid levels are at at 99%. Constant painful (although not like real contractions lol) braxton hicks contractions that happen almost every time he moves. My doctor checked me and I'm also 1 cm dilated and cervix is soft. Yes every 10 minutes warrants a call. I had them every 30-45 minutes but they took my breath away. Who knows since my baby is just free-floating in there and keeps getting out of head down position 😣
