So oliver has latched onto both breasts at least twice but I'm still having problems sometimes. Any suggestions on how you guys were able to get your babies to latch more?

In the beginning I had to make sure I pinched the side of my boob to make my nipple kind of stick out more so his tiny mouth could get around it.

@bitchcraft yeah ive been doing that. He like wants to put his hands in his mouth instead but wants the milk still. When i move his hands he screams and pitches a fit. Or he will fall asleep during it and refuse it again if i try to wake him up.

Please be sure to ask you Lactation consultant if he is tongue tied or lip tied. That can cause latch issues.

@mississippi.queen yeah whenever i call them in to get help he latches on immediately but when they leave he stops even though i don't switch positions or anything i do the same thing i was doing while they are there. Sometimes he is good about it and latches on immediately for me but idk lol i know he is only 2 days old so we are both new to it. Just frustrating i cant feed him as much as i need to

As LC to come in and stay for the whole feed. It’s a learning curve for both of you. Some babies it’s instantaneous, for others it takes time.

I’d definitely talk to a lactation consultant! That’s what they are there for.
